During a recent interview, Sushmita revealed that she has greenlit a project inspired by her life, though she clarified that it won’t be a biopic.

Sushmita Sen is all set to essay the role of a transgender activist Shreegauri Sawant in Taali. The actress is leaving no stone unturned to promote her upcoming web series. In the recent interview, the actress not only spoke about her preparation for the role but also revealed her upcoming projects. She said that she has given the go-ahead to a project which is based on her life, however, she clarified that it will not be a biopic.

The Biwi No.1 actress said that besides Aarya season 3, she has two to three projects in the pipeline. “I have greenlit two other projects, and the third one, which will be not me acting, but it’s based on my life. So, look forward to that. I am not saying anything else, all in good time. I probably shouldn’t have said that too, but I am so excited about it so here it is. It’s not a biopic, you will see,” she told Pinkvilla. Well, the actress has kept its details in wrap, keeping the excitement of fans intact.

Coming back to Taali, Sushmita also recently revealed that director Ravi Jadhav was very clear that he won’t use prosthetics for her role of Gauri Sawant. She said that he asked her to gain weight and makeup artist Jeetu to do the required to achieve the look. The first look poster of the upcoming web series received mixed reactions. The actress recently said that there were lots of nameless people on social media who wrote ‘Chhakka’ repeatedly in the comment section. It hit her personally to think about how the community is living with it every moment of their life. She eventually blocked all of them.

Meanwhile, Taali, inspired by Shreegauri’s life, will begin streaming on JioCinema on August 15.
