Kartik recently debunked a story that said he was working on Bhul Chuk Maaf with Shraddha Kapoor.

Fans are eager to see Kartik Aaryan and Shraddha Kapoor together onscreen in a full-fledged film after their small scene in Tu Jhoothi Main Makaar. Much to their delight, Jio Studios on Wednesday unveiled its upcoming slate and announced a much-awaited collaboration of Kartik and Shraddha in a rom-com, Bhul Chuk Maaf . However, Kartik recently rubbished the report saying that it is untrue.

Kartik Aaryan reacted to the news on Twitter

Taking to his Twitter handle, Kartik reacted to a tweet that read, “BIG NEWS @TheAaryanKartik and @ShraddhaKapoor to star in Maddock Films and Jio Studios’ next romantic comedy #Bhulchukmaaf..#Maharani series fame Karan Sharma directs this film.” He replied, “Must be an error. Not True,” and added a folded hand emoticon. Soon after the fans spammed the comment section with their reactions. One user wrote, “KA is known for announcing his films in a certain way… It looked really fake news when it appeared on timelines. Thanks #KartikAaryan for the clarification.” Another stated, “Why does this feel like a promotional strategy, where he will say ‘Bhul Chuk Maaf’ in the end.”

Kartik has cameo appearance in Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar

For those unaware, Kartik made a cameo appearance in Luv Ranjan’s Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar which stars Shraddha opposite Ranbir Kapoor. He acted as her fake boyfriend and danced with her in a small scene in the movie. Even before that, there were rumours doing rounds that Shraddha will be the leading lady in Kartik’s upcoming Aashiqui 3. However, after Kartik’s latest clarification of not teaming up with Shraddha in the romantic comedy, fans need to wait a little longer to see them sizzle on the big screen together.

Meanwhile, Kartik is currently shooting for his upcoming romantic drama, Satyaprem Ki Katha alongside Kiara Advani. He also has other interesting projects in the pipeline which include, Captain India, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, Aashiqui 3, and Kabir Khan’s untitled movie. Shraddha, on the other hand, will be reprising her role in the upcoming second instalment of horror-comedy Stree 2.
