Next month, Takeshi’s Castle is set to hit Prime Video, with Bhuvan Bam lending his voice for the Hindi version.
Actor, comedian Bhuvan Bam is all set to star in the reboot version of the popular 80s Japanese game show, Takeshi’s Castle on Prime Video. Previously, it was Jaaved Jaffrey who was the original Hindi commentator of the television show. Bhuvan will be reviving his popular BB Ki Vines’ character Titu Mama for the upcoming OTT version of the show which will premiere on November 2.
New Takeshi’s Castle teaser dropped by Prime Video
Prime Video India dropped a new teaser featuring Bhuvan as Titu Mama. The clip opens with him doing his everyday work at his shoe store which is named ‘shoe-stopper.’ He is bantering with his customers when the Yakuza enter the store. They abduct Titu Mama and he is asked to repay the debt by dubbing the show in Hindi. On the Yakuza’s gun-point, Bhuvan as Titu Mama starts bringing back the essence of the original show with his hilarious commentary.

Takeshi’s Castle Reboot with Bhuvan
Takeshi’s Castle Reboot will be a part of the OTT platform’s festive line-up for the Great Indian Festival 2023. Talking about the show, previously, Bhuvan had said in a statement, “Since the original version of Takeshi’s Castle was on television, I have been an ardent fan of the concept, execution and the hilarity of the game-show. It’s highly nostalgic for me to have grown up seeing the show and now voicing it, is genuinely a full circle moment. I don’t think there is any one in my generation who hasn’t loved and enjoyed this madcap comedy. Being a part of this incredible game-show is a privilege and an honor. As an entertainer, my viewers have always appreciated the unique yet relatable characters that I’ve portrayed, and I happy to bring a bit of my creative self as ‘Titu Mama’. I am hopeful that the younger generation will get love this show as much as we did.”
