The teaser of Gadar 2, featuring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, has been unveiled by the film’s makers.
The wait is finally over as the makers of Gadar 2 have released its much-awaited teaser. The sequel takes from the part wherein the first movie had concluded with Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, and Utkarsh Sharma reprising their roles as Tara Singh, Sakina, and Charanjeet. By the looks of the teaser, it revolves around the backdrop of the Crush India Movement in Lahore in 1971.

Gadar 2’s teaser begins with some glimpses of the riots and conflicts surrounding the Crush India Movement in Lahore, Pakistan. We see a voice-over of a woman seemingly taunting Sunny Deol’s character Tara Singh. She can be heard saying that he is now a son-in-law of Lahore and he should be welcomed royally. She goes on to add that otherwise, he will hijack Lahore this time.
We then see Tara Singh getting off a bus possibly in Lahore. It looks like his character will turn messiah this time too for the country and we will get to see Sunny Deol’s character spread the spirit of patriotism all over again in Gadar 2. The teaser ends with Tara Singh sitting down in a prayer position while the song ‘Ghar Aaja Pardesi’ plays in a somber tone in the background. The movie has been directed by Anil Sharma who had also directed the first film. It is all set to be released on August 11, 2023.

The previous movie was recently re-released in the theatres. It received the same delightful reception proving that the craze for the Gadar franchise is eternal in the hearts of the fans. The first film was released in the year 2001 and proved to be a mega-blockbuster.
