The movie Satyaprem Ki Katha, featuring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani, had a robust weekend, nearly reaching the Rs 50 crore mark. However, its performance declined on the fifth day.
The Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani starrer Satyaprem Ki Katha opened to a decent collection earning Rs 9.25 crore. It further saw a strong weekend which made it inch closer to the Rs 50 crore mark. However, the movie saw a dip in the collection on Monday (July 3).
Satyaprem Ki Katha’s box office collection
According to a news report in Sacnik, Satyaprem Ki Katha just managed to earn Rs 4 crore on its fifth day. The total collection now stands at Rs 42.50 crore. It seems that the film needs a good figure again in the upcoming days to rake in favorable collections. The film earned Rs 7 crore on its second day and Rs 10.10 crore on its third day. It reached its highest on Sunday wherein it amassed Rs 12.15 crore. This made the collections shoot up to Rs 38.50 crore.
Satyaprem Ki Katha had an 11.68% occupancy on Monday according to the reports. The movie marks the second collaboration of Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani after Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. It has been helmed by Sameer Vidwans and revolves around an underlying social message against the backdrop of romance and some melodious soundtracks. It also stars Gajraj Rao and Supriya Pathak in supporting roles.
Recently, the lead actors surprised an audience who were enjoying their film. Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani shared a lovely video wherein they enter a theatre after Satyaprem Ki Katha ends. They received a standing ovation from the delighted audience. Kiara captioned the same stating, “When the audience gives us a standing ovation, that’s when you realize magic has been created.
