Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh kicked off the new season of Koffee With Karan with stunning wedding footage.
Almost five years after getting married in Italy, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have finally released their wedding video. The couple opened the latest, eighth season of hit chat show Koffee With Karan and treated host Karan Johar and their fans to previously unseen footage from their picture-perfect wedding.

The video was preceeded by Ranveer narrating how he proposed to Deepika in Maldives and how they flew to Bengaluru right after to meet her parents and break their engagement news to them. However, Deepika’s mother was not too thrilled about her choosing Ranveer initially but slowly and steadily, we made his way into her heart.
The footage from the wedding begins with Ranveer, as always, gushing about Deepika at their engagement party. Deepika’s father, former badminton champion Prakash Padukone also sweetly says that Ranveer brings some excitement and crazy to their ‘boring’ family of four.
Clips from the wedding show Ranveer dancing at their mehendi function by the lake, Deepika being adorned with jewels as she prepares for the wedding, them exchanging vows at the mandap, their Anand Karaj ceremony and how he wanted to meet her before they got married just to tell her that he loves her.
Karan got emotional after watching the video
After watching the video, Karan got emotional and welled up. Ranveer and Deepika gave him hugs and kisses. He said that while it made him happy to see the wedding video and the love that they share for each other, it also made him a wonder what he is losing out on in life. Karan, who is currently single, said that while he has the love of his mother and children, he sometimes also wishes for a partner to share the smaller moments of life with. Deepika assured him that he will find someone at the right time. She also mentioned how it was important to find someone who is right for you rather than marrying someone who isn’t and regretting that decision later. The better alternative to that is staying single.
Koffee With Karan airs on Disney+ Hotstar on Thursdays midnight.
