The actor revealed that the film is stuck with ‘one little technicality’ and will be ready by the end of the year.

Hrithik Roshan has confirmed that Krrish 4 is definitely in the pipeline and will “happen real soon”. Fans have been waiting for the fourth instalment of his hit superhero franchise. Krrish has been in the making for ten years now.

Directed by Hrithik Roshan’s father, filmmaker Rakesh Roshan, Koi… Mil Gaya was the first film in the franchise and it released in 2003. It was followed by Krrish, which arrived in 2006, and Krrish 3 in 2013.

Roshan’s words

Asked about Krrish 4, Hrithik Roshan told Pinkvilla in a new interview, “I think, we should all get together and send out a little prayer. Everything is set (about Krrish 4) but we are stuck on one little technicality. Hopefully, we will overcome that by year end. Krrish 4 is definitely in the pipeline and it will happen real soon.”

He also talked about working on his upcoming film, Fighter, and recalled the experience of being around the Indian Air Force. “We are shooting with real fighter jets. We just shot in a Sukhoi. It has been so inspiring just being around the Indian Air Force. There is so much to learn from their body language, decorum, the discipline, their courage and intelligence. I am very glad that I got to experience that myself,” he told the portal.

A bit about the franchise

Krrish traces Krishna (Koi Mil Gaya protagonist Rohit’s son, who has inherited the father’s superhuman abilities) and his adventures as he saves the world around him from villains. Hrithik played the triple characters of Rohit, Krishna and Krrish in the film that also featured Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Rekha and Naseeruddin Shah.

Krrish 4 was first announced in 2018, when filmmaker Rakesh Roshan said the film will release on Christmas 2020. However, the film has since been delayed.
